Dilemma!

Good evening everyone. As I mentioned in my about section, I am a lover of philosophy! I have always been a very deep and thoughtful person who analyzes the people and world around me. You might even call me an overthinker! I began college a couple years ago and took an introduction to philosophy class as well as an ethics class. I absolutely loved every second! I actually almost double majored in philosophy and religious studies. Even though I decided not to get a degree in these areas, I continue to read books and articles about them. I want to share a book with you all that I found at Barnes & Noble. It's titled 101 Dilemmas for the Armchair Philosopher by Eric Chaline. It's pretty short and sweet compared to other philosophical writings, but I myself am still trying to grasp the basic and most commonly covered ideas. This book has 101 "chapters" if you will. They're extremely short scenerios that really get you thinking and push you to discover where you stand on certain topics or what action you would (or should) take in certain situations. In philosophy, a dilemma is when a person's thoughts are contradictory. Each chapter discusses an issue (usually a social issue) and it reveals the two ways (sides) of approaching the problem. What's right? What's wrong? Incredibly interesting stuff! You've gotta be ready to think! I hope this interests some of you and that you check it out! Have a great night, and I will see you soon!
